EUROFIMA Conference:

Public Transport in Transition

EUROFIMA's 70th Anniversary

Basel, Switzerland | 20-21 October 2026

Welcome

Join EUROFIMA for its 70th anniversary event, bringing together rolling stock operators, public transport authorities, ministries and regional decision-makers, manufacturers, private and public lessors, and financing partners for a focused exchange on how rolling stock finance is evolving across rail and urban public transport.

The conference will address the interaction between market design, financing models, and industrial realities - from public service structures and ROSCO models to emerging financing tools, sustainability-related expectations, and asset lifecycle considerations.

On Day 1 in Basel, the programme will feature a half-day conference, a short 70th anniversary moment, an apero and dinner. On Day 2, participants may join an optional technical programme in Olten, designed as an operational counterpart to the Day 1 discussions and allowing for same-day onward travel around lunchtime.
